
Singer/songwriter Lorraine Hess was born and raised in the New Orleans area in a family of musicians. She began singing in music ministry at the age of sixteen while a student at St. Mary’s Dominican High School in New Orleans. After graduating from Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge), she married her husband, Rob, and they are the proud parents of four sons. She is the Director of Music Ministry at Divine Mercy Parish (St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church site) in Kenner, Louisiana where she directs the Adult Contemporary Choir.
She has performed at the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, National Association of Pastoral Musicians Convention, World Youth Day: New Orleans, the Youth Leadership Celebration for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Our Lady of Kibeho American Retreat with Immaculee Ilibagiza, and many parishes and schools for retreats, youth events, concerts, and liturgical celebrations.
Lorraine has recorded with world renowned Catholic singer/songwriter, John Angotti, on his album, “Joy Beyond Our Dreams,” and her debut solo album, “We Shall Be Healed” was released in November 2008. The album includes a variety of original pop, gospel, jazz, contemporary, and rock music. She is currently working on her second album "Child of God" due to be released in the summer of 2010.
